Earth's climate is changing, and those changes manifest in catastrophic storms, prolonged droughts, shrinking ice sheets, rising sea levels, shifting ocean temperatures and eroding coastlines. Left unchecked, the cost in real dollars and human suffering will only continue to rise. We should be investing in and incentivizing the development of carbon reduction technologies, plastic-use reduction and renewable energy sources.
